Our facilities are open from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, except holidays and vacation. You can see our vacation/holiday calendars on our "Parent Resource" page. Our tuition is $1,150.00 per month for full or part-time care. We do not offer a part-time rate as four full-time staff are always on site. You can choose any part-time schedule, but the rate is the same regardless. Your tuition allows you to use any and all hours we are open for business. The flexibility in use of our hours, can make the transition of going back to work easier. All meals are provided (except formula). As part of our menu, we serve fresh fruits, lots of vegetables, lean meats (many natural and organic items and no nitrates), Tillamook cheese, whole milk and whole grain bread. If after reviewing this site, you feel that Cloud Nine would be a good fit for you, and you would like to be considered for enrollment, please complete an application and submit it via mail, email (Bell@YourCloudNine.com) or fax as directed at the bottom of the application form. There is no application fee. A face to face interview is always conducted before enrollment. We schedule tours/interviews, based on availability, Tuesdays thru Fridays at 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. We require that both parents and the baby attend this interview. We feel it is very important that we meet your family, including both parents (if applicable) and the baby. The relationship between parents and their childcare providers is a very important one. We want to find out what things are most important to you and what you feel would be an ideal environment for your child. This will help us to know how we can best meet those needs. Cloud Nine is not a fit for everyone; we are a small, family-owned business. Our hours are not the 6-7 offered by some centers and our holiday/vacation closures are sometimes a challenge for families (please see our holiday calendar on the Parent Resources page). Of course, we feel that what we do offer far outweighs those things. If it is determined that we are a good fit and space is available, the following tips will help you to prepare your child for their transition to day care: Bottles: Your little one needs to be able to drink well from a bottle. This is the most important thing you can do to ensure your baby makes an easy transition to being cared for, away from you. Start this process early on, and as time gets closer to your child being at Cloud Nine, you will need to use a bottle more often. For the immediate two weeks prior to starting care, feeding them out of a bottle (exclusively) during the normal hours they will be with us, will make all the difference. Being able to provide your little one with food is a very basic need.
Play: Children 5 months and older need to be able to entertain themselves for at least 20 minutes. This means they are able to be happy, as long as they have interesting things to look at and/or chew on, for that time. Their position can be changed more often and new things given to them, but they should be able to be happy without being held for at least 20 minutes. |
